Katy has joined Jesson & Rains as an associate attorney. Her areas of practice focus on estate planning, probate, and business law. Prior to joining Jesson & Rains, PLLC, she worked in bankruptcy law, guiding companies and creditors through the complex bankruptcy process. Prior to law school, Katy worked at a CPA firm broadening and sharpening her accounting skills. These experiences have helped her to become a multi-skilled leader as she is accustomed to guiding and leading her clients towards a specific goal. Katy upholds one of our core values, being client-focused problem solvers, by actively listening to what each client wants and keeping these points in mind through every step of the process.
She is licensed in both North Carolina and Alabama and admitted to practice in the Federal District Courts of North Carolina and Alabama. She graduated from Charleston School of Law in 2019. She graduated cum laude from St. Bonaventure University with her B.B.A. (2015) and M.B.A. (2016) with a focus in accounting. Katy is from Jamestown, New York and moved to Charlotte with her husband in 2020. |
